The Barranca Surgery Center Otolaryngology (ENT)/Head and Neck Clinical program concentrates in the following therapies:
Treatment of Obstructive Airway problems, which frequently cause sleep apnea. This includes sinus surgery and correction of deviated septum as well as reduction of enlarged or inflamed nasal tissue. Sometimes tonsillectomies and uvulopalatoplasties are also necessary in the treatment of obstructive airway disease. Our surgical team is particularly focused on quick recovery and good pain control for these procedures. Our results have been excellent.
Eradications of facial, head and neck tumors (both benign and malignant)
Surgical treatment of common ear disorders (chronic otitis media, perforated tympanic membranes)
Our team of ENT specialists is one of the most experienced groups of surgeons, both from an academic and technical standpoint. Among them, they represent a combined 70 years of academic affiliation and clinical practice experience. The Otolaryngologists at Barranca Surgery Center are all board-certified, and offer the latest advanced procedures supported by state-of-the-art equipment.
Lack of adequate oxygen to the brain and cardiovascular tissue can have significant adverse effects on an individual’s lifestyle. This includes learning disorders and diminished cerebral activity leading to lethargy and daytime somnolence. The effect on the cardiovascular system includes hypertension, and increased incidence of myocardial infarction and sudden death. Our surgeons utilize state-of-the-art diagnostics and surgical modalities (i.e. KTP Laser, Gyrus Somnoplasty) to effectively treat airway and sinus disorders.
